Farm fun at the Little Farm at Windwater

My daughter took a field trip to a farm yesterday and she had so much fun! We got to see chickens, bunnies, a donkey, and (best of all) horses! If you are looking for a place to have a field trip, I would highly recommend the Little Farm at Windwater. The people were very nice, the animals were well taken care of, and my kids had an amazing time!

My daughter was so excited to see the horses!

My daughter is obsessed with them – the farm gives pony rides for an extra charge and my daughter couldn’t wait to go on one!

My daughter rode the horse while my son was on my back in his Tula.

My son decided he should give walking a try.

Truthfully, I prefer him in my Tula and this may be the first time he actually walked on grass.

Here’s one more of my son trying to walk since he’s so darn cute!

He’s a little hesitant about this green stuff and is deciding if he’d like to be back in his rainbow Tula.

If you are wondering what I’m wearing, the top is the LuLaRoe Irma (so comfy!) and the skirt is a LuLaRoe Cassie. :)

Fun Times at the Cougar Mountain Zoo

The Cougar Mountain Zoo is a favorite of ours because it’s not very crowded, has some very interesting animals, and a petting zoo that Hapa Baby loves.

I read in a few reviews that this zoo is extremely small — I’ll agree with this. The zoo is quite small and if you are interested in seeing a larger zoo the Woodland Zoo is the best.

The Cougar Mountain Zoo is charming and fun for toddlers. I used to be in the “it’s too small” camp, but I’ve realized the wisdom of taking Hapa Baby here instead of a larger zoo. She gets to see and explore everything without getting overwhelmed. Although I love the Woodland Zoo, we can’t get see more than one large area because Hapa Baby gets impatient and wants to leave. Not so with the Cougar Mountain Zoo — she can explore all the exhibits to her heart’s content and she loves to run through the petting zoo areas.

At the gate, the people remember us and we purchase $2 apples. Then we say hello to the cougars before heading off to the petting zoo where Hapa Baby feeds the alpacas and runs around.

But, instead of telling you about it, I’ll let you see the fun. Here is a typical day in pictures at the Woodland Zoo.

Last, but not least, what was I wearing?

A skirt from Anthropologie, a ruffle scarf from Blooming Vintage, my favorite Kate Spade bag that fits everything and Adriana Nuni Fluevogs! (I should have worn tights, but I couldn’t find them. They would have pulled my outfit together.)

Hapa Baby wore a Gap Pink Puffy Coat, silk skirt from Peek, Mini Boden tights, and pink boots we bought in Brooklyn for a song.

A Rompin Good Time — A Review of Romp Bellevue

Hapa Baby, Mom and I went to visit a newly opened play space for kids, Romp. (NOTE: We were not paid or invited, we found the place via a friend of mom’s). I didn’t have very high expectations for Romp because I’ve seen a few other play spaces for kids that I didn’t really like (some were overly crowded and others are petri dishes of sickness). So, I went into Romp with my eyes open and expectations low. I was pleased to find out that Romp is actually extremely clean, has wifi for parents, and is age appropriate for children 1-5.

A Review of Romp Bellevue

Hapa Baby loved it because they had a lot of high quality toys that helped spark her already wild imagination. She played with the kitchen, she went “grocery” shopping, and she built blocks. Then she pretended she was “Callie” from Disney Jr.’s new Sheriff Callie’s Wild West as she bounced a blown up horse-y around the room.

I really liked it because there were a lot of people from different cultures. There were two mothers speaking Chinese (I would love for my daughter to learn Chinese!), a mother from England, and a few American mothers. The owner, according to my mom’s friend, is Filipino. I felt at ease in the space, and was very appreciative that it was so clean.
